Who strings the line

Two trees and a problem

ninja line started in a garden with two maples about forty feet apart and three children who had run out of things to do. The first version was a borrowed slackline and a pair of gymnastic rings on climbing carabiners. It lasted one afternoon before somebody asked whether we could add a ladder.

What we make

Complete lines, single stations that clip onto a line you already own, and a short shelf of things for hands indoors. That is the whole catalogue, and we would rather it stayed small. Every piece has to survive a wet October and a child who is heavier than they look.

How we test

Hardware is loaded to 880 lb before it ships in a kit. Beyond that we test the way everyone actually tests: the prototype goes up in a garden, children are invited, and whatever breaks gets redesigned. The one-piece coated buckle exists because the first two-piece one pinched a finger.

What we will not do

We do not sell a course with a fixed layout, we do not print a difficulty rating on the box, and we do not pretend any of this is a substitute for an adult standing nearby. The line is the equipment. The judgement stays with you.
